2018 Berges Fest: Fun for the Whole Family
Berges Fest is happening this weekend! This is a great family event that even Dad will love to attend this Father’s Day Weekend. This 3 day festival started in 1967 and occurs every year on Father’s Day weekend. With competitions like Stein Holding, Keg Throwing and Root Beer Chugging, it’s no surprise Berges Fest celebrates German heritage. In addition to these traditional German contests, there will also be local food and artisan vendors, live music, a carnival, rodeo, dachshund races, and more. See the live music schedule and the events schedule.
This years festivities will take place at the Kendall County Fair Ground. Saturday’s parade, however, will take place in downtown Boerne on Main Street at 10:00 a.m. so bring your lawn chairs, find a spot and enjoy! Keep in mind that Main Street will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
