2018 State Fair of Texas

The 2018 State Fair of Texas doors swing open this Friday (September 28th)! Lasting 24 consecutive days, the State Fair of Texas is the longest running fair in the nation, as well as one of the biggest! That being said, finding fun at the fair WON’T be hard.

Chevrolet Main Stage

With your admission to the 2018 State Fair of Texas comes free concert series at the Chevrolet Main Stage. Over the 25 days, 75 different artists will be performing! Headlining artists include Ludacris, Aaron Watson, Hunter Hayes, Casting Crowns, Austin Mahone as well as many more!

Little Hands on the Farm

In this exhibit, kids can plant seeds, gather eggs and even drive a tiny tractor before harvesting crops and taking them to market. With the earnings they make from selling their crops, kiddos can purchase snacks in the General Store!

Starlight Parade

Every night at 7:15 p.m. the State Fair presents the Starlight Parade. This lighted procession features spectacular floats, fun music, sparkling costumes and a crazy assortment of characters!

Pig Races

Back by popular demand, the Pan-Am Arena is home to the most buzzed about track around town; the Pig Races! Dawning racing silks, these wiggly piggies race around the course while the crowd cheers them on!

Though loyal food vendors do love to deep fry everything at the State Fair of Texas, they can also make gourmet, regional, national, and even international dishes with a Texas twist. Come out and try something new this year!
