Alamo Colleges District Announces New North Central Regional Campus Location
The BKCEDC leveraged a long time relationship with Dr. Zaragoza, Vice Chancellor for Economic Development and Workforce Development, to bring major stakeholders, including BISD, the City, the County and the Chamber, to discuss potential involvement with the new North Central Regional Campus. The campus is scheduled to break ground in 2019 and will be built in far north Bexar County. The Central Texas Technology Center in New Braunfels is the model for this new campus
Although funded by Bexar County residents, this campus will likely benefit Kendall County residents due to location. Our stakeholders now have the potential ability to help shape programs and job training offered by this campus, specifically, what skills are we seeking, what are the driving industries and what are the jobs for the future?
If you have any connections with the Alamo Colleges District, please reach out to the Boerne Kendall County Economic Corporation. It is critical to leverage any relationships Investors may have as Kendall County doesn’t have financial investment in this project. Kendall County is seeking to provide input.
