Spring Break Trips in the Texas Hill Country
The first day of spring break is officially underway and hopefully your kids haven’t started with “I’m bored” or “There’s nothing to do”. If they already have, keep reading for some fun day trips that the whole family will enjoy.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas
The park will be open daily with special hours from March 9th – 17th for a fun and exciting Spring Break! Each day of Spring Break check out Six Flag’s great shows for dancing, music and fun! Experience amazing roller coasters and more at The Thrill Capital of South Texas! Take a break from all the studying and homework assignments by enjoying the pulse pounding thrills of all your favorite rides.
SeaWorld San Antonio
This year, SeaWorld has three new attractions including a new animal attraction called Turtle Reef as well as two new rides, the Sea Swinger and Riptide Rescue. Cool off in Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park and enjoy exciting shows with whales, seals and more!
Son’s Island on Lake Placid
Head to Seguin for a day and enjoy your own private cabana on Lake Placid. At Son’s Island, you can rent lakeside cabanas and even go glamping if you want to stay longer! Spend the day having fun with your friends and family swimming, fishing, water sliding, playing beach volley and more! You can also rent kayaks and paddle boards!
Downtown San Antonio
It’s time to be a tourist in your own town! The Alamo will be offering extended hours during spring break, so it’s the perfect time to book a tour for you and your kids. Take a “Go Rio” cruise and experience a narrated boat ride down the River Walk, filled with San Antonio history.
Take a Hike
Enjoy the beautiful Texas Hill Country to the fullest by visiting one of the many state parks. Go to Garner State Park or Enchanted Rock for endless views of the Hill Country. Take a short drive to Guadalupe State Park for tubing, fishing and canoeing.
Cave Without a Name
The Cave Without a Name lies approximately 11 miles northeast of Boerne, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Lying 80 feet below the earth’s surface you will find spectacular and complex formations in 6 different rooms of the cave, which is only 66 degrees year round!
