Easter Eats: Fun Treats for Easter Day
Easter is this right around the corner (this Sunday to be exact) and we’ve got some fun treats that the kiddos AND adults at your Easter celebration will love.
Rice Krispie Bird’s Nest
This cute and easy idea comes from craftymorning.com. She made some rice krispie treats and used a muffin tin to create the shape of a birds nest. Once the rice krispie treat nests cooled she used edible grass to fill them and then set Robin’s Egg’s on the top. Read the full instructions.
Easter Dirt Cake
This fun (and delicious) Easter Dirt Cake is super easy to make and only takes about 20 minutes! It’s as simple as mixing a few ingredients together, topping with crushed Oreo’s and letting it chill for about 20 minutes. Right before serving add Peeps and your favorite Easter candy to the top for a cute touch! Read the full instructions.
Bunny Fruit Display
Cut up an assortment of fruit (you can also buy pre-cut fruit) and arrange it to look like a bunny! Here they used pineapples, strawberries, bluberries, apples and kiwis. This is super easy, but the outcome is amazing! Read the full instructions.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry “Carrots”
Aren’t these so adorable?? Melt some white chocolate and use food coloring to dye orange, or you can buy orange candy melts. Dip your strawberries in the orange chocolate and let dry. Once dry, drizzle some more of the melted orange chocolate over them to add some extra detail.
Rice Krispie Easter Eggs
For these simple Easter treats, make a regular batch of rice krispie treats, but add your food coloring to the melted marshmallows before adding in your Rice Krispies. Once you have your Rice Kripsie treat mixture made, put some butter on your hands and start shaping the mix into eggs. You will want your mixture to cool a little bit before doing this step, but not too much to where the Rice Krispie treats aren’t pliable anymore. On the next batch, use a different food color for a fun assortment of Rice Krispie Easter Eggs. Read the full instructions.
