1. Memorial Day Stampede Parade

Kick off the Memorial Day weekend by attending the Memorial Day Stampede Parade in Bandera. Known as the “Cowboy Capital of the World,” Bandera hosts a vibrant parade that features marching bands, floats, and horseback riders. The parade is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and honor the spirit of those who have served our nation. Bring your family and friends to Main Street for a morning filled with patriotic pride and local charm.
2. Honor the Fallen Ceremony
Location: 4700 West Fitzhugh Road, Dripping Springs, TX 78620
Date and Time: Monday, May 27th at 2pm
Join the Honor the Fallen Ceremony in Dripping Springs for a poignant tribute to our military heroes. This ceremony includes the playing of Taps and a flag ceremony, creating a solemn and respectful atmosphere. It’s a time for reflection and gratitude, as we remember the sacrifices made by our service members. The event provides a meaningful way to honor their legacy and ensure their memories live on.
3. Participate in the MURPH Workout Challenge
Location: Hill Country CrossFit, 37131 I-10, Boerne, TX 78006
Date and Time: Monday, May 27th from 7:30-10am
For those looking to challenge themselves physically while honoring a fallen hero, consider participating in the MURPH Workout Challenge at Hill Country CrossFit. This CrossFit “hero” workout of the day (WOD) pays tribute to Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, who died in Afghanistan in 2005. The workout includes a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and another 1-mile run, all while wearing a 20-pound vest or body armor. It’s a powerful way to push your limits and honor Lieutenant Murphy’s service and sacrifice.
